After a killer spinning class I treated myself to this bad boy.

Pasta with beef mince in a simple tomato sauce…..topped with WW grated cheese.

For those who are interested here is my simple tomato sauce…..

First fry the beef mince until browned, add: 

Carton of tomato pasata

1 Table spoon of tomato puree

1 Tea spoon of garlic puree

1 Beef Oxo cube

A pinch of sugar (to help with the bitterness of pasata)

Season with salt and pepper

Simmer for 10 minutes

Job done…..serve on pasta with a sprinkle of grated cheese…..parmesan is best.

Pasta contains carbs for energy refuelling and the beef mince (which was less than 5% fat) for protein to repair muscle damage.

You could also add onion, mushrooms, baked beans etc to bulk it out.
