Doris the florist #doodle #poem

Standard

Doris was a florist but she had to shut up shop,

Not because her flowers had died or started to flip and flop.

Because kind Doris kept giving them away for free,

no money she was making and it sure doesn’t grow on a tree.

At one point, she thought her shop had rose from the flames,

But another thorn in the side appeared and soon had downed her aims.

She now had no choice but to pick a brand new job,

One that paid well and didn’t have stock that would also flop.

So, she became an optician and it came as no surprise,

Looking at people’s iris’s, she just loved gazing into their eyes.
