Poached Eggs

A constant reminder of a grumbling belly,

can be heard over the din of the tele.

 

Poached eggs on toast should quell the sound,

as I’m the best poached egg maker in all the land.

 

2 pieces of thick white toast dripping in butter,

eggs soft and sprinkled with a dash of salt ‘Yummy’ I hear you mutter.

 

 

*Poached eggs

Pan of water with lashings of vinegar in, slightly simmering.

Carefully break in the eggs to the water.

Cook for 3 minutes then remove from the pan.

Perfect poached eggs.
